Children

We believe strongly that the Church is a family, and that families (including their children) are fully part of the church family. So we do all we can to make children feel welcome and included, and to help and support parents to bring up their children knowing and loving Jesus for themselves. We like to think that we are a ‘tut-free’ church.

Children of all ages are welcome at our services. They can stay with their parents for the whole service, or go out to one of the groups during the prayers and sermon.

We want parents to be confident that their children are in safe hands. All those who have responsibility for caring for, leading or teaching children are known and trusted people from our church and have undergone all appropriate safeguarding checks.

Sparklers

We provide a supervised crèche during the prayers and sermon where pre-school children will find age-appropriate Bible teaching and activities, as well as toys and books to occupy them. Parents are welcome to keep children in the main service, leave children in crèche and return to the main service, or to stay with their children in crèche, as they prefer.

We are delighted for children to be part of our service, and don't mind them making noise at all. However if parents prefer, they are welcome to make use of the crèche facilities (toys, books, baby equipment, etc.) at any point during the service, even when the crèche leaders are not present.

Comets

Children of primary school age go out together to Comets to learn from the Bible, do some craft, play a game, pray and more. Comets meets every week except when there is an all-age service.
