'To know Christ and to make him known'

Sundays

Morning services
We meet from 10.30 until 11.45 for a time of singing praises to God, praying and hearing his word, the Bible. The sermon is about ½ hr because we believe that we have much to learn if we are to stand for Christ in an increasingly secular culture. Our worship varies, sometimes it is lively at others times more sombre, depending on the subject we are learning of and how the Spirit enables us. We are seeking to have the best Christ glorifying music and the best Christ exalting preaching we can muster by trusting in the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the Lord’s supper twice a month, have regular all age services, and a quieter service for adults twice a term.

Invitation services
Our invitation services are geared for people who do not normally come to church and are open to all ages. We meet from 4-5pm for coffee at the start and then spend 45 mins singing, enjoying powerpoint presentations, drama, a 10 min talk and fun and games for the children. We aim to invite friends and family who may be interested in finding out more but who are not used to what happens in church meetings and would prefer a more relaxed and informal style.

Youth and Children
We believe strongly that it is our responsibility before God to pass on our faith in Jesus to our children. We care for the youngest children in Creche (0-2) preschool children in Sparklers (3-4) primary children in Sunday Club (5-10) and secondary school age children in Lasers (11-14). Older teenagers currently attend Cave, a youth group linked to Sundays@7 from 5.30-6.30 on Sunday evenings. We take child protection very seriously with all leaders being CRB checked.

Children start the services with us in the main meeting hall and then go to their groups after 10-15 mins, except when we celebrate the Lord’s supper when they go to their groups at the start and return 10-15 mins before the service finishes. If you wish to find out more about how your children will be cared for do contact the relevant leader
