'To know Christ and to make him known'

Welcome to Sundays@7

We are a group of people of all ages who want to know Jesus Christ better and to tell others about him.

We are united by faith in Jesus Christ, and believe that his death and resurrection has made it possible for people like us to be forgiven by God for turning away from him. Because of this, we can be brought back into a right relationship with him, and know the certain hope of eternal life.

We believe that God speaks to us today through his Word, the Bible, and helps us to understand it as he works in us by his Holy Spirit. Everything we do is aimed at helping each other to learn more about who God is and what he has done through Jesus Christ. Ultimately, we help each other to live lives that give him the honour that he deserves.

Maybe you would not yet describe yourself as a Christian, but are interested in finding out more about what Christians believe. Please come and join us and meet others who are looking into these things too – you will be very welcome.

We hope that you will find a home with us here.

Sunday evenings at 7pm

The main weekly meeting when we hear the Bible read, explained and applied as well as talking to God in prayer, singing together and lovingly encouraging one another to live for Jesus. We meet from around 6:45pm for tea and cake, before starting the 'formal' part of our meeting at around 7pm. Once a month, we share bread and wine as we celebrate the Lord's Supper together.

Our meetings are open to anyone of any age. However, we cannot provide child care for young children or those under 11 years old.

During the week we meet in various groups at different times, such as...

Cave

A pre-service meeting specifically designed for 14-18 year olds, where we play games, look at the Bible and pray together. Cave meets in Barkham village hall before the 7pm Sunday service, at 5.30pm.

Housegroups

We encourage everyone who makes Sundays@7 their church to join a housegroup. These are small groups of people who meet each Wednesday in somebody's home, and are a great way to grow together as followers of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer meetings

We meet monthly to thank God for his goodness and to pray for the church locally, nationally and internationally. This is also a time when we share future ideas and plans together.

Prayer meetings during the summer term are to be held on 14th May, 11th June and 9th July.

Christianity Explored

A mid-week course which gives the opportunity to look closely at the claims of Jesus Christ. We welcome those of some faith, or none, or those who are unsure. The format is relaxed and informative and there is plenty of time to ask questions.

If you are interested in attending, or would like more information, please email the church office.
