Follow the star

A free interactive Nativity Story Trail around Arborfield Green
12th, 19th, 21st December; 4-6pm

Find and follow a trail of stars around Arborfield Green to explore the story of the first Christmas, when Jesus was born. Each star will have a clue to the next star's location and a QR code to a short video made by members of the community and church and a carol to listen to (or even sing!) as you walk to the next star.

The trail will start at the Arborfield Green Community Centre off Sheerlands Road where you will pick up a UV pen to read the clues and find your first star.

Invite your family and friends, neighbours and colleagues to join us for a mince pie evening online where distance is not an obstacle!

Whilst our mince pies are cooking, we’ll have the opportunity to listen to a reflection about the Christian hope in a Covid Christmas.

Reverse Advent

A Christmas Collection for Local Food Banks

From the 1st December 2020, have a box where each day you can put aside an item for a local food bank organisation (Christian Community Action and Wokingham Food Bank). You can fill a box on your own - or why not organise something with a group of friends, neighbours or work colleagues?* Drop-off is on the 12th December, 3-5pm at Arborfield Green Community Centre's car park of Sheerlands Road. You can find a list of needed items here.

After dropping off your Reverse Advent collection, you can head straight onto our Follow The Star Christmas Trail that starts at the Community Centre.

*Please respect social distancing and government guidance if organising a collection with others.
