Children and Youth
St James is a church committed to serving the whole family. During our morning service we run a staffed crèche and a full programme for 3-14 year-olds. The children join with us for the beginning of the service and then head over to the village hall next to the church. Please find more details below.
Crèche (under 3s)
There are plenty of toys, activities and caring helpers who are delighted to look after the children whilst their parents concentrate on the service. (N.B. when there is an 'all-age' service, little ones can be dropped off before the start of the service).
Sunday Club (5 to 10s)
There is a short time together, after which the children divide into different age groups to learn from the Bible, do some craft, pray and more. Sunday Club meets every week except when there is an all-age service.
Lasers (11 to 13s)
For those who are growing older. Come along to catch up, play a game and look at the Bible together to see how it relates to our everyday lives.
14 and Over
We encourage children aged 14 and over to attend the youth group "Cave", which meets on Sunday afternoons during term time.
