Welcome to Arborfield Church

We are a group of ordinary people of all ages who want to know the Lord Jesus Christ better and tell others about him. We share a common faith in Jesus Christ, who through his death and resurrection has provided forgiveness for our wrong doings and given us a relationship with God, our creator, and the hope of eternal life.

We believe that God, by his Holy Spirit, speaks to-day through His Word, the Bible. This enduring and living word is vital to our life of knowing Christ for without it we are lost and blind. Everything we do is aimed at helping us to learn more about Jesus, and to live a life that honours and serves him.

Maybe you would not yet describe yourself as a Christian, but are interested in finding out more. Others are doing the same thing and asking questions, so you are very welcome. We hope that you will find a home with us here.

Sundays at 9.30am

The main weekly meeting (find us) when we hear the Bible read, explained and applied as well as talking to God in prayer, singing together and lovingly encouraging one another to live for Jesus.

We run a programme of Sunday Clubs for 5-14 year olds as well as a crèche. We are all together as we begin and then the children leave for their clubs in the church hall.

The Blueprint - Summer 2007

7.45pm for 8pm in the Church Hall. Exploring basic Christian beliefs together. All welcome.

Christianity Explored

A mid-week course which gives the opportunity to look closely at the claims of Jesus Christ. We welcome those of some faith, or none, or those who are unsure. The format is relaxed and informative and there is plenty of time to ask questions.

Prayer meetings

We meet monthly to thank God for his goodness and to pray for the church locally, nationally and internationally. This is also a time when we share future ideas and plans together.

Small groups

We encourage everyone who makes Arborfield their church to join a Housegroup. These meet in people’s homes in the week and area a great way to grow together as followers of the Lord Jesus.

Little Seeds

A weekly Christian playgroup that we run in Arborfield village hall for those of pre-school age together with their parents or carers.
